Tolerance: When The Line Is Drawn Part 2

In this post, we will look at the LGBTQ and gender ideology.

First the children. Should we be tolerant of people whose perverted lifestyles are harmful to children? Take for example this questionnaire from a hospital in New Jersey.

These are new-born babies they are talking about. You know the gender of babies by looking at them. They are either boys or girls. To think you can choose a gender identity for them is ridiculous, and equally ridiculous is asking your kindergartener to choose. This is another line that has to be drawn. Just let the kids be kids.

Are you with me in asking "how did we get here"? I think it takes decades of indoctrination to reach this level of insanity. Some call this the woke mind virus, or mental illness.

The President has stated that there will only be two genders officially recognized in the U.S., male and female. The fact that it needed to be officially stated by the President should tell you something.

Let me know in the comments what you think.

Take care and stay sane.

Tolerance: When The Line Is Drawn

The inspiration for this post was Sunday's sermon. Our pastor preached on tolerance, and suggested that something had changed that would affect the church's ability to carry out its missions.

So, what does it really mean to be tolerant by definition? Webster's defines tolerance as: a liberal spirit toward opinions and practices that differ from one's own. I would rephrase that as a "generous" spirit.

We are told to be tolerant of things like religion, politics, appearance and the LGBTQ, (or basically anything) when they differ from our beliefs or practices. We should peacefully get along with everyone as long as they are doing the same.

The question is when and where do we draw the line? Should we always be tolerant, accepting and forgiving when doing so is detrimental to our lives, liberties, health, safety, national security or child welfare?

Here is an example of when those we are told to tolerate cross the line.

Our Southern border. Should we tolerate the millions that have entered our country illegally? Many are violent criminals, gang members, drug dealers and human traffickers. Other countries opened their prisons and their inmates flooded into our country. U.S. citizens have been murdered. Tell me why we should tolerate this? Thank God, the border has been secured and illegals are being deported.

I spoke with a gentleman after the service whose parents legally immigrated to the U.S. and worked hard to make a living. They successfully raised their children, who produced children and grandchildren. They all turned out well. He shared that while he believes in tolerance, there are some things should not/cannot be tolerated.

Here is my question to you--where do you draw the line?

Have a great day! Take care and stay sane.

Some Thoughts on the Blog

This has been my personal blog since 2009 and while it has never been a political blog, I have hinted a few times of my displeasure at the crazy-town way things were going. But by and large, this has been a blog of pictures, fiction, poetry and cataloging vacations. I participated in various creative writing challenges and wrote about my cats. Oh, and food...we can't forget food!

For this hopefully short season, this is my platform for expressing myself and letting out all the pent-up frustrations from the past 4-5 years and my surging hope for our country [breathes a huge sigh of relief].

What has changed? Nothing and everything. I will still write poetry and fiction if and when my muse is in the mood.

We lost our precious Sophie last May, and she was my go-to for smiles, ours and hopefully yours too. She sure did love boxes. She was frequently there waiting patiently for me to get my stuff out of her box.

So it hasn't become a political blog...I'll leave the nitty gritty to others, but I do have more topics to discuss in upcoming posts. So stay tuned because you never know what you will find here. Feel free to dig into the archives too!

Take care and stay sane out there.

To Tell the Truth

This is something the Left seems unable or unwilling to do. 😠

Remember the scene in the movie "A Few Good Men" where Lt. Kaffee (Tom Cruise) was questioning Col. Jessup (Jack Nicholson) and Jessup finally roared back, "You can't handle the truth"!

Well, that scene is playing out all across the country since many people still can't handle the truth. I read post after post that have been shared by people I used to think I knew. There seems to be no end to the vitriol being spewed through their fingers onto the keyboard.

I wish I had the time and the patience to systematically correct them, you know, like grading a failing paper with a bright red pen. And yes, they are failing. Failing to see how out of touch with reality they are and actually believe what they are saying.

If we are being honest here, for many, particularly those in the swamp, it is more than that, deeper than that. It is a four-letter word. It is hate. They are so filled with hate that they can't find the good in anything that doesn't fit their myopic version of the truth. So they lie.

Which, of course, brings us to the topic of freedom of speech. Freedom of speech means you have a right to your opinion and to give voice to that opinion. You also have the right to be wrong and revel in your wrongness.

That doesn't make the rest of us any more likely to switch sides. It merely gives you the satisfaction of self expression.

Until next time, continue to express yourself. Folks will agree or not. It's your right and theirs.

If you enjoy this type of content, please give me a shout in the comments. Thanks!

Whose Side Are You On?

I'm glad you asked. I am on the side of America.

If you take a deeper look at it, there are many issues facing our country and many sides to take.

One that is at the forefront of the world's attention is the war between Russia and Ukraine, and people are taking sides. Either you are for or against one of these countries, and nothing else is even possible. Ah, but it is. Personally, I support neither country and think the U.S. should keep its nose out of it. We, the American people do not want war. This is the third side and it is called neutrality. Ever heard of that?

Those who insist that we continue to support Ukraine with billions of dollars of money and/or equipment, are just condoning more killing on both sides until there is no longer enough men to fight, or more importantly, work and raise families. I don't understand why anyone would want this. No, really I do and it all goes back to follow the money, and whose pockets get lined.

So, I am tired of seeing the blue and yellow flags with the words "I stand with Ukraine" everywhere I look. To say anything else seems to suggest that one aligns with Russia. I don't. However, when trying to negotiate a peace agreement, one must have both parties at the table. The Ukrainian president did not make a good showing, arriving at the White House (by invitation) wearing attire unbecoming of a president. He then reneged on already agreed-upon terms, refused to sign and demanded more money/support...whatever.

It is very telling that the only time the democratic members of congress clapped during President Trump's address was when he talked about the war and how many billions in aid had been given by the previous administration) One member, also known as “Pocahontas”, clapped even harder when he called her out. What does that say about the democratic state of mind?

Whose side are you on and why?

Until next time, take care and stay safe.

Just So You Know

The far left media will lie and tell you that Americans are against all the things that President Trump is doing. That would be the left doing what they do best.

Now, how about a look at some numbers gathered from a CBS News poll following President Trump’s speech Tuesday night. This tells a completely different story.

• 76% approved of Trump’s speech
• 63% said Trump spent time on issues they care about
• 74% said his speech was presidential
• 71% said it was inspiring
• 62% said it was unifying
• 77% approve of DOGE
• 77% approve of immigration and border policies
• 73% approve of his plans for ending the Ukraine/Russia war
• 65% approve of tariffs
• 76% approved of the removal of democrat, Al Green

Only 51% of those polled self-identified as republicans, yet 76% approved.

I believe this covers it pretty well. Over 77.3 million American citizens voted for Donald Trump, and I think we are all getting what we voted for. Thank God and thank you Mr. President.

This One's For You

 Hello Friends,

As of the writing of this post, it has been 42 days since President Donald Trump was inaugurated as the 47th president of these United States. That was a day that will live in history forever. It was the beginning of a new era for the U.S. and by extension, the entire world.

This is especially true for the 77.3 million people who voted for him. We're getting what we voted for. Some on the left side of the political spectrum will complain that he has done nothing for the price of eggs. Wow, is that the best you got? He did not run on a platform of bringing down egg prices. He ran a campaign based on promises to the citizens to secure our borders and keep citizens safe. He promised to rid the country of the DEI that we have been plagued with for far too long. He campaigned to reduce government spending and waste that have nearly bankrupted this country, and finally he wants to end the war between Ukraine and Russia. I will leave the detailed writing on this to those who are much more knowledgeable. Just as an FYI, "those more knowledgeable" is not the main stream media or the many liberal publications that exist merely as propaganda machines.

I titled this post "This One's For You". What that means is simply this. I am sick and tired of those endlessly bashing of our President and his administration, to include all those he hand picked for their positions. I am sick and tired of the manic TDS rants from individuals sitting in their cars screaming, and women shaving their heads and vowing not to have children while Trump is president. That, for the life of me, makes absolutely zero sense. These are the people that are whining that they are losing their rights. Just exactly what rights have you lost in the past 42 days. I'll wait.

There are swamp critters (politicians and bureaucrats) who are now crying that Trump is trying to weaponize the DOJ. This is hysterical and totally ridiculous, particularly since that is exactly what they did to him.

The president has made the Southern border more secure than it has been in decades, yet the swamp critters insist on helping the illegals to avoid ICE and deportation. Now these illegals are not families with children looking for a better life. Many are hardened criminals that were released from prisons in other countries and then shipped here for the express purpose of invading our country. Trump has shut that $hit down.

He created DOGE, Department of Government Efficiency from an existing department in order to ferret out the excess, unnecessary, inappropriate and downright fraudulent government spending that has been ongoing and put an end to it. What got the most attention? At first it was USAID, which is not a humanitarian aid fund. It stands for United States Agency for International Development, which had very little to do with actual aid to individuals. Then there was social security. Now why on earth would anyone let an unelected person root around in our personal finances? Elon Musk and his team of experts are auditing all aspects of the government's finances. HE IS NOT AFTER YOUR MONEY. Understand the meaning of the word audit. Audit: An examination of records or financial accounts to check their accuracy.

While we are on the topic of unelected persons getting all up in our business, let's look at Fauci. He tried to control our response to the plandemic. Then there are other groups like the WEF and WHO, that are trying to run the entire world and re-create it in their image.

Now on to the subject of men participating in women's sports. The democrats are adamantly defending the "rights" of "trans women" over the rights of real women. How disgusting is that? They want to completely erase real women in favor of fakes. Everyone with two functioning brain cells knows that there is no such thing as an actual trans woman. You can have surgery, take pills and get injections, and you are still a man pretending to be a woman. It is an XY thing and chromosomes don't lie.

Next, we address the propaganda machine known as the "media". This includes ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, Associated Press and publications like the New York Times. Okay, why are they considered as propaganda machines? Well, they all have one approved narrative that is in lock step with the far left, progressive liberal segment of the government. Any opinions or even facts that are moderate or right of center are either twisted completely out of context or not reported on at all. Sometimes things are even fabricated...you know blatant lies. You'll have to research this for yourself. Let's just say that "they" knew about Biden's cognitive decline a long time ago. BTW, have you seen all the lawsuits being filed? Some are justified and others are just people whose noses are out of joint because they were called out on things they said or other misdeeds.

So, for four very long and very painful years we endured the $hit show of Biden and his puppet masters. We were the laughing stock of the world. We had one chance. The future of America was riding on this election. Thank God we have been given that chance. People, we need to unite behind our president. That is the only way to stop the advancement of socialism, marxism or outright communism. They tried to take away our freedom of speech during covid by pressuring social media to censor anything to do with covid or the vax once it was available. They suppressed information on drugs and treatments that would help, and instead said stay home until you can't breathe, then come to the hospital for remdesivir, which is dangerous to your kidneys. People lied. People died.

I think We the People have earned the right to "do it our way" this time. This is our chance. Let's not blow it. Take care everyone, and I'll see you next time.

How Much Is Your Opinion Worth?

"In religion and politics people's beliefs and convictions are in almost every case gotten at second-hand, and without examination, from authorities who have not themselves examined the questions at issue but have taken them at second-hand from other non-examiners, whose opinions about them were not worth a brass farthing." - Mark Twain

I am running into this more and more often these days, especially on social media. It seems no one wants to do their own research. They read something they agree with and boom it is the absolute truth and they share it to all their friends. Let them read something they disagree with, then pow it's the most vile thing ever. Both reactions stem largely from preconceived ideas based on what they have read or heard previously.

If we're being honest, we have all done that. With reference to the latter, it is sometimes a knee-jerk reaction. I have done that out of sheer frustration at incorrect information. However, it is because I have done my homework, read articles, watched interviews and followed links provided to try and ferret out the truth. I find that the closer you can get to the horse's mouth, so to speak, the more likely you'll discover what was actually said or done and why.

So when I read someone's post who shares something that completely goes against what I believe (based on my own personal beliefs and the aforementioned research) well, I don't always react wisely. For any such reaction, I'm sorry, but not for my stance on the issue or my beliefs.

The above quote by Mark Twain pretty well sums up how people get to where they are with their opinions and just how much those opinions are worth.

Ch Ch Changes

 Hello Friends!

Are you tired of winning yet? I'm certainly not. Finally, we got what we voted for, and for what this country has been needing for absolutely decades. It has been just over three weeks, and all I can say is WOW!! I can tell that most of you agree. 70% of Americans say that President Trump is fulfilling his campaign promises.

As to be expected, there is a lot of wailing, moaning and gnashing of teeth coming from those on the left side of the political aisle, but you know that those who complain the loudest have the most to hide and they are afraid.

Also, there are every day folks who didn't get what/who they voted for [insert serious thanks here], and for some reason they are fearful or frantic that Elon Musk, who was not elected by vote, but appointed by a sitting President, is auditing all the facets of the U.S. government. By the way they are ranting, you would think their own personal money is in jeopardy. For some politicians and other government folks, this is a distinct possibility, but for the rest of you, relax. The data is read-only.

We will touch on a few of the things that have been going on (I don't have the time or the skill to keep up with the day to day, hour to hour happenings).

USAID seems to be what is on most people's minds at the moment. By the way the screamers are acting, you'd think they're are pulling the whiskers off kittens. Look, the only way to bring our country back is to tear down and rebuild that which is corrupt - and the corruption runs deep, as does the ridiculous spending for things like transgender comic books for kids, and DEI training for various countries/groups.

Funding has also supposedly gone to support terrorist organizations, and media companies, some of which have had ties to communists. Not all spending for even legitimate causes got to it's intended recipients. The house cleaning is real and desperately needed.

In addition, to the wasteful and very questionable spending, some other interesting things have happened.

Ft. Bragg in North Carolina has been restored. It had been renamed Ft. Liberty by the previous administration...boo hiss.

The NCAA has agreed to prohibit men from competing in women's sports.

The southern boarder is being secured, and illegal border crossings are down over 90%. Deportations are underway.

The U.S. has withdrawn from the World Health Organization (WHO).

The U.S. has withdrawn from the Paris Climate Accord.

The Gulf of Mexico has been renamed to the Gulf of America. That is controversial among some, but considering that Mexico is part of the North American continent, it seems reasonable to me.

All in all, I would say that we are getting what we voted for. Trump 2.0 is kicking butt! Oh, and the new White House Press Secretary is awesome. Hats off to Karoline Leavitt.

Until next time, take care and stay safe.

P. S. Be careful what you read because some sources are not credible, and also do your own research. I saw an instance of that earlier today.

Change is Coming

Does anyone else feel a sense of relief? Change is in the air.

We have hope where once the future looked bleak.

We see freedom and justice where previously we saw unjustly held political hostages.

We see common sense returning, pushing out the woke insanity that has been building for years.

We have freedom of speech again instead instead of being silenced because of our opinions.

We see a return to hiring based on merit and filled by qualified individuals and not based on color, gender, ethnicity or LGB status.

We feel a renewed sense of pride in our country, and not the pride of rainbow colored flag.

These are all things and feelings that have been missing for too long. To paraphrase a fellow blogger, I am glad that the 4 long years of 2020 are finally over. If you know, you know.

Until next time, take care everyone.

Inauguration Day!

It's finally here! January 20, 2025. The day we have all been waiting for since November 6, 2024. Due to the impending cold, the ceremony was moved indoors (in advance).

We the People have spoken. A total of 77,302,416 of us have been fed up to the gills with the censorship, the medical tyranny, the transgender ideology, inflation and the serious border crisis which has allowed the criminals to pour into our country for the past four years.

Afterward: The inauguration ceremony has been completed. There were many cheers and standing ovations given. Voices joined together to sing "America the Beautiful" lead by Carrie Underwood, and wonderful inaugural prayer was given by the Rev. Franklin Graham.

After which, President Trump signed the first of many executive orders before addressing a gathering of supporters and then adjourning for lunch.

The festivities continued, including an indoor parade, more speeches and signing EOs. Each document required a new pen. When he was finished publicly signing the nine orders, he tossed the pens out to the audience.

The day's public activities culminated at the inaugural ball, and the ever lovely Melanie had shed her formal attire for a beautiful evening dress.

It was a wonderful day for America!  I won't get into any of the politics now. This is just a day for celebration.

It Snowed!

It was more than a dusting, and less than a good snow, but still it was (and is) pretty. I love how the snow outlines the branches of my Poplar. It was a gentle snow, which happens here with really cold temperatures. Yes, I know it is balmy to some folks and a deep freeze to others, depending on where you live.

The snow started sometime after 1 p.m. on Friday and continued for around 12 hours, more or less. I didn't stay up to keep tabs. It was beautiful Saturday morning, cold and windy. I put up the spare bird feeder Friday afternoon after the snow started sticking, which didn't take long since we have been so cold lately. The birds really seem to enjoy having a place they know they can get a snack. Given the speed with which they empty the feeders some days, it is less like a snack, and more like the all-you-can-eat bird buffet.

The days have been sunny since mid-day Saturday, so while things are melting a bit and getting slushy, the nights and the ground are cold, so large patches of snow will be with us for a while...maybe waiting for another one. We'll have to wait and see.

What Are You Afraid Of?

I wrote the following post a year or more ago, and it has been sitting in the draft folder gathering dust. Time has marched on and it is now and it is January 2025. Hopefully some of the things I wrote about then are about to change for the better. Since that time, Elon Musk purchased X (formerly Twitter) a couple years ago, and literally cleaned house. It is now a much more pleasant place to gather as we count down to Jan. 20.

What powers your fear? News? Turn it off. People? Tune them out. To do otherwise simply gives them power over your mind.

The media has been peddling fear porn and propaganda nonstop 24/7 for nearly 3 years (more if you look deeper). The government has been pressuring social media and the main stream media channels to suppress any information that does not fit their narrative. We call that censorship.
Why would they do this? What kind of government would encourage censorship of it's citizens you may ask. Don't we have the right to free speech? We're supposed to.

Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.

Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association. No one may be compelled to belong to an association.

This seems pretty straightforward to me. You have the right to your own thoughts and opinions and the ability to express them, as well as the right to peacefully assemble to make your opinions known and hopefully bring about change. These are addressed in the First Amendment to the Bill of Rights, which is comprised of the first ten amendments to the Constitution. As far as I know, Congress not passed any law restricting free speech. Nevertheless, it is being done through through social and main stream media outlets at the behest of the current administration.

Now back to the idea of fear. What should you really be afraid of? Not the plandemic, that's in the history books (yes, I know there are still some clinging to that narrative).

No, what we should fear is losing our ability to speak freely without consequences from the government. We should fear losing our right to choose how to live our lives, make our living, and to make our own medical decisions without coercion or threats.

We should fear losing our right to peaceful assembly. This is our legal means to make our grievances known. Remember, we are not servants of the government. They work for US, or at least they are supposed to.

What I mean by fear in this post is not the quaking in your boots, frozen in place kind of fear. It is the "stand up and take serious note of what is going on, why and how it could affect you" kind.

So again I ask, what kind of government does these things? I will let you ponder that. I will say it is not a government that is pursuing the best interests of "We The People".

Certification!

We interrupt our regularly scheduled programming to bring these news worthy updates.

We are now one step closer to having Donald J. Trump back in office. Our prayers continue to be answered.

When this was made official, a round of cheers erupted from the floor, as Kamala Harris stood there certifying her own loss.

Which are you?

One moment of patience may ward off great disaster.
One moment of impatience may ruin a whole life.
Chinese Proverb

If the spider is patient, he gets his dinner. If not, he may move too quickly and scare away his intended meal. Then he goes hungry.

Now this is not a life-altering disaster, he simply rebuilds his web and begins the wait process. In the meantime, maybe he has learned something.

What is our take away from this? Patience is the key to accomplishment and impatience can lead to failure to meet your goals.

How can we apply this to our daily lives? Work, school, relationships, driving, and even dinner.

Patience is an virtue, and often it is kindness in disguise. According to our quote, patience is the difference between success and failure. I agree that this may often be the case.

However, with regard to some of the other daily instances of patience, it is simply showing kindness. For example, the elderly lady maneuvering the parking lot. We may be behind her, quietly (to ourselves) admonishing her for being slow, while she is being careful and doing the best she can. To allow her to move at her own pace without harsh reaction is kindness.

Also true with relationships. Patience with each other instead of grumbling about their "fill in the blank" is showing kindness as well.

Most instances of patience is not life altering, it is simply us waiting our turn. What is your take on this?

Looking Back?

Hello friends!

I doubt that many of us are looking back on 2024 (or 2023 or 2022 or 2021 or 2020) with much fondness or enthusiasm. That is not to say that nothing good happened last year, although with all the yuck and suck it may seem hard to find the good.

Aside from the landslide MAGA victory, which I hope is a turning point for our nation to get back to sanity, decency and common sense, here are few highlights.

First, I discovered True Lemon. It is real lemon juice in powdered form. One packet equals one lemon wedge, but it is much more convenient, cheaper and they don't spoil before you can use them. Why is this a big thing? I'll tell you why. If you have ever had heartburn, you know how unpleasant that can be. The most common thing people do for heartburn is take antacids like Tums or Prilosec. Most folks equate heartburn with excess stomach acid, and yes, that can be a cause. However, the opposite is also true. Low stomach acid is another common culprit, but less often considered.

Here is where the True Lemon comes in. I had picked up a package some time ago just to have on hand. Seemed like a good idea, right? So I started using one pack per day in about 10 oz. of water (I use small plastic water bottles - don't judge). I'm not sure now why exactly I started doing this other than I had read that lemon water has health benefits. Anyway, within a week or so, my frequent nighttime heartburn had disappeared. I have been doing this daily since sometime last spring. Now I get only the occasional twinge of heartburn. I am not giving medical advice nor suggesting that this will work for everyone, but it certainly has worked for me. It seems to me that the more you take of an antacid, the more you need them and for those with low stomach acid, this is a cycle you need to break. Could I stop using True Lemon and be fine? I don't know, but somehow I don't think so.

Second, by having made a purchasing mistake, I discovered Grape Seed Extract. I was buying Resveratrol for my hubby, and accidentally picked the wrong item because they were side by side in similar packaging. The online store could not accept a return, but generously gave me credit for it. Rather than letting it go to waste, I decided what the heck, I'll take it myself (ordered hubby the right stuff). To keep this from getting too long, the short story is that it has done wonders for my eyesight. I had been wearing prescription reading glasses for years. I began to notice that I could no longer see well with my glasses, but instead could see better when I took them off. An older pair worked, but I gradually stopped wearing them altogether. Now to be perfectly honest, my eyes are not back to where they were when I was young, but certainly good enough to not need my glasses. Would this also remain true if I stopped taking it? I don't know that either. Nor do I know why this happened. It is possible that it has made the part of my eye that focuses more flexible.

I realize that this is all anecdotal, but I am truly thankful to have stumbled upon them. Those reading this are welcome to share their experiences.

Until next time, take care and be safe.

We Made It!

Happy New Year and welcome to 2025.

Finally, it's here. It's a fresh start. A new beginning.

These past four years have been nothing to write about, and yet everything to write about. However, we have all seen that if you say the wrong thing you could be cancelled. While nothing I have ever said here was particularly controversial, I opted not to have my full "say" on the political and cultural goings on around the country.

I don't listen to main stream Legacy media, and haven't for a long time. I prefer to ferret out the truth over listening to lies, propaganda and manipulative dialog that they try to off pass as news. X now has more real news than your favorite cable TV station or newspaper, and much of it you can get from the horse's mouth...er the original source.

The reason for this is that over time one narrative was created and that must be followed. You don't need to hear or see anything else. Do not trust your lying eyes, ya hear! Otherwise, you may end up as a victim of cancel culture. Yes, we have really come to that. It has been established that the Biden administration pressured the media (social and otherwise) to adhere to their narrative and censor real information. Think Facebook and CNN for example on issues such as Covid, and of course, politics.

So just consider that everything you have seen or heard the past 4-5 years have been lies. You have been lied to six ways from Sunday. We all have. They have tried very hard to break us. Some have cracks, a few have shattered, but guess what? We will get up and put the pieces back together. It won't be easy and may be painful, but we can do it...Together.

A New Dawn on the Horizon

Well, it has been a long time since I crossed the threshold here. It's dusty and there are cobwebs everywhere. Apparently I am a poor steward of this blog. However, the light is always on and somewhere there is a broom, so here goes.

It is December 2024, and there is a new dawn on the horizon. Some are looking forward to it, even counting the days. Others are wailing in fear of what they perceive as unimaginable horrors. All I can say is relax, and wait and see before setting out with waving of arms and gnashing of teeth. It will quite likely not be what you fear because you have been programmed to believe the absolute worst.

Breathe! After all, we have endured the past four years and that has not been pleasant. Lies and propaganda usually aren't. But, we are still here and the future looks brighter than it has in four years.

Having said all that in hopes of calming down the voices screaming in your heads, it will not be an easy ride. Nay it could be very bumpy. What has happened, economically speaking, cannot be fixed in an instant, no matter who holds the figurative reins. No, it could be painful, but think of it as growing pains. We may need to go through some difficult times in order to emerge stronger.

Yet, in the midst of all this, we also need a social, moral and cultural realignment. We need to return to our core family values. Yes, that is an old and perhaps overused phrase, but nevertheless I believe it is necessary for the continuance of humanity.

So does the very existence of humanity hang in the balance? That is a good question, and one I don't have the answer to, but there are things I do know. The majority of people are decent, hard-working people who care about others. That is evidenced by the outpouring of love and generosity to those suffering from the effects of hurricane Helene in western North Carolina and parts of east Tennessee. No division, no party lines, no cultural differences. Just people helping people...it's a beautiful thing.

Then there is a very small percentage of people who do not conform to the societal norms but do make the biggest noise and call attention to themselves in their desire to be celebrated.

It would be unfair to state that the entire country is morally bankrupt, but some do and this is why. When it is in your face every day, that is eventually all you see. The goal being to normalize abnormal and immoral behavior. We stopped watching TV for this very reason.

TPTB want us divided morally, politically, racially and economically. Heck, they even pitted us against each other based on medical choices. It is up to us to stop this, and we can if, instead of being divided, we stand united. We The People have spoken.

There are many more points for discussion, but that is a post for another day. For now, I leave you with this:  Fact of the day. Born a man, always a man. Born a woman, always a woman. Drugs and surgeries can't change the facts.

Until next time, take care and stay safe.
