It Finally Happened!

You may remember several years ago I had a Day of Mourning after my car died.  That led to two years of searching (some might say I'm too picky) for another car.  As you know, we keep our cars for a long time, so I searched high and low for a car that would meet my wants and needs.  You can read about some of my adventures in My Quest for Wheels and More Car Stuff.

Fast forward to the present.  The search is finally over, and I am the proud owner of a 2006 Toyota Highlander.

Happy Birthday to me!
It has the power seats I need, and it even has a sunroof!  Now we have two reliable vehicles and hubby can actually drive his "new" car...after nearly two years.

  1. Congratulations on the new car. Wow. Two years of searching. That's impressive, but it means you know what you want and are willing to go out and find it. Good for you:~)

  3. Nice car!! It looks very roomy and reliable. I am glad you finally find a car you liked, which is not always easy I think. I wish you many years of happy driving with this one! :-)

  6. Sara- Thank you. We looked at a lot of cars and SUVs, and at different times throughout the search, leaned toward different ones. It is not easy to find the exact car you want, at least for me. It was getting increasingly important to find something, so we chose one we both liked.

Nicky- Yeah, now he gets to drive the car he chose for himself, which really is a great car! I should know. ;)

Alexandra- Thank you for visiting here at Roses to Rainbows. I really enjoy your blog and seeing your country through it.
We are most pleased to have found another car. It was getting down to the wire for us, and it is important to have reliable transportation.

Talon- It's really pretty, and so different from anything I've driven. It will take a bit of adjustment.

Hilary- Oh, I am more picky than patient. We each need a good car, and the pickup he's been driving will now be the backup vehicle.
