Bits and Pieces

I thought I'd share some bits and pieces from the last few days.  Saturday we attempted, once again, to spread weed and feed on the yard, and once again it clumped up in the spreader.  This was a bag that was left over from a couple years ago.  A word of advice...buy just what you'll use, and use it soon.

I love clouds, especially the wild, stormy looking ones this time of the year.

Bun let me snap a quick picture of her.  She belongs to our friends Bruce and Dixie.  We enjoyed a wonderful evening at their house Sunday.

Here is Doodle hanging out with his favorite human.  I'm in the race for second place.

While I was mowing the yard this afternoon, I spotted my first Iris bloom of the season.  This is my favorite color Iris.

  1. Wow! That is a fantastic picture of the iris. And your kitties are so cute! I like Rosie's long grey hair.

  2. Thanks. I recently got a new camera, so there will be lots of pics. Rosie is my baby, and he does have looong hair. You'll see lots of him and my other babies, Doodle and Sophie.

  4. Hi Barb,

I expect there will be more cloud pics as Spring turns into Summer and stormy weather sets in. I don't like the violent storms, but some rumbling thunder isn't bad.

By the way, hot weather is coming and we've already had some really warm days. Are you chillin' that wine yet?

  5. Linda -- What wonderful pictures! I love the one of clouds with the hole in the clouds and the cats sleeping together...one with a paw resting on the other.

The Iris was a perfect ending:~)

  6. Thanks Sara. You know it always warms my heart to see the cats snuggled up together. Dood idolizes Rosie - every time Rosie gets up Dood has to go too. You notice this particularly at night when they're both on the bed. :)

  7. Hi Linda,

Doodle reminds me of a cat we used to have. We called her "Little Girl" as she was so petite. She was a part of our family for many years, and then she was called to cat Heaven. I still miss her.
