Nature's Sun Catchers

When the late afternoon sun gets together with the fresh green leaves it creates a magic that demands you drop what you're doing and grab your camera.  That's just what I did.  Dinner could wait, but the sun had nearly completed it's westward journey for the day.  Enjoy!

Looking West

Dark clouds make the trees look even brighter.

The tree tops are glowing.

  5. Hey Linda . . . I finally figured this thing out. Kinda slow on computer technology. I have really enjoyed your site. Have been following it since that day I spoke to you back in March. The pictures you have posted are beautiful. I love early morning pictures too where the sun is beaming through the trees awakening the beauty of the earth. Take care and tell your hubby hello.

  9. Beautiful photos! Aren't Locust trees the first to bloom and the last to lose their leafs? Something like that?

  10. Thanks Cindi. Actually that tree has very tiny leaves and you barely notice them when they fall. The flowers are tiny as well, and the tree is at the very back of the property just on the other side of the line, so sadly I don't usually notice the flowers. I do love the character of the branches. I believe it is a honey locust, and it has long, tough pods filled with seeds every other year. This will be a year of pods. Ugh!
