My immediate thought is that it looks like a cookie type dough that spilled... not a thick one, a thin one... like a lace cookie type or firmer. THEN I thought, "Hmmm looks like a painted wall... could it be a strange moth? But looking again, it looks BAKED FOR SURE... a bit darker to the left.... soooooo gingerbread? Or crisp cookie splatter that was baked?
Thanks everyone for the good guesses. Talon, you and Katherine are the closest. It is crispy waffle batter where the batter over ran the waffle iron a bit. I thought it looked a lot like a brown leaf.
I am seriously behind on my blog reading. It looks like a leaf fossil or a leaf shaped cookie. What is it really?
ReplyDeleteActually, to me it looks like brown sugar made into a leaf design. Very interesting picture:~)
ReplyDeleteLinda, it looks like a leaf, but it also reminds me of a spill-over when you're baking. So I don't know whether I'd rather look at it or taste it! :)
ReplyDeleteI think it looks like a leaf-shaped crust of bread.
