Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm.

During our journey from childhood to adulthood, our beliefs, morals and ethics are formed. Our character is figuratively where we place our feet, and we back this up with our actions.

  1. It reminds me of some advice a teacher gave us at school. If you are ashamed to admit your beliefs you need to rethink them. Definately having your feet in the right place

  2. I think it's important to stand by your beliefs, while not trying to impose your "truths" on someone else.

  3. I loved the quote and your take on it. It is amazing to think of what makes up our beliefs, morals and ethics...or the places we place our feet.

Do we follow the footsteps of our parents or make our own footprints?

I also agree with the comment above that its very important to respect the "truths" of others.

  6. I love this one, Linda R. And I completely agree with Linda M's comment:

"I think it's important to stand by your beliefs, while not trying to impose your "truths" on someone else."

  7. Anji- It sounds like you had a wise teacher.

Linda- I agree completely. I have probably been on both ends of that one.

Sara- Following in our parents footsteps? That depends. Mine left pretty big shoes to fill. As others have said, we should keep our beliefs, but not impose them on others.

Hilary- Thank you! He was a wise man.

Talon- Thank you. I hadn't either. I found it on a calendar.

    Meleah- Thanks, and me too!
