The sun stopped shining?It would get cold and dark, and we'd all die.
It never rained again and our water sources dried up?
We'd have no food or water, and we'd all die.
You won the lottery?
It wouldn't save you if there were no sun or water. Be thankful for what you have.For clarification, I am not against the lottery, but know that money doesn't fix everything either.
Though there are other things I'd like to have had, and know I never will now, I am forever thankful for what I do have.

This makes me think of a radio program last night about the American Southwest, overbuilt and running out of water.

ReplyDeleteSo many people think if they just had more money they'd be happier and they might be for a short time, but it's kind of like birthdays.
Eventually, the day ends, the cake is eaten, the presents opened and you do go back to being the person you were.
