Quote of the Week
Advice is what we ask for when we already know the answer but wish we didn't. - Erica Jong
How many times have you asked someone "What should I do" after you have wrestled with the problem for hours, always coming to the same conclusion? You know what is right, but want someone to confirm the choice you would prefer to make. Sometimes the right answer is the hardest thing to hear.

Hi Linda .. I'm sure that's right .. but I usually want to do something and everyone's telling me 'no' .. frustrating .. so I go my own way, anyhows! Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteHilary- Everyone had advice to give, some good, some bad. Whatever, in the end you must do what you think in right and/or best for those involved.
ReplyDeleteI don't know, sometimes I'm looking for validation that the right choice is really the right choice, or maybe there's an alternative I haven't thought of. And yes, sometimes I just want someone to tell me it's ok to take the easy way out! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, I am definitely one of those people that requires 'confirmation' that I am making the right choice. And the right choice is usually the more difficult choice.
ReplyDeleteWell done and so TRUE:~)
ReplyDeleteNicky- There are many different reasons for seeking advice. Usually it is to see if we're on the right track.
ReplyDeleteMeleah- If the right choice was easy, then we wouldn't need advice. Unfortunately, life is filled with difficult decisions. Then there are some easy ones - red or white? I hope you're staying cool in the heat.
Sara- Thanks. I expect it's hot in your neck of the woods, too.
