Where Did All The Words Go?

No words anywhere, nothing, zip, nada.  Where did they all go?  Was it something I said?  Have I taken them for granted?  Maybe they're all in hiding, deep in the night in the furthest crevasses where light never reaches. Maybe they're being held prisoner and being forced to make sentences.

Please help find the words.

Posted for Friday Flash 55.

  1. there are days my words revolt...hope you find yours...smiles.

  2. The Library is down a block, then turn left, you can't miss it!
    Plenty o'words there!!
    Excellent 55 My Friend.
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End

  3. Linda,

I liked this one. It's very clever and something I've felt many times. I think you expressed "writer's block" superbly."

    Great 55, Linda:~)

  4. Linda, it's the times when the words are absent that I always think they are bubbling, just under the surface, waiting to erupt.

    Awesome 55!

  5. I don't know where they went. I've been looking for them all month long.

  6. I felt just like this earlier in the week and then I came up with one of my best posts yet. I don't understand it either-but every time words fail me I'm afraid I've written all I have to write and then magically-they come back. Every time:)

  7. Very eloquent! I've felt that same way on too many occasions, but never found the words to describe it. :-)

  8. Nicely done. A proper search for inspiration is often inspiration enough.

  9. Oh No! Linda it's the Rapture! They took the words first before the Christians.

  10. Oh, yes. I get this one!

One thing I've always believed in is that, when you have nothing to write about, write about having nothing to write about! :)

  11. Brian- Me too!

G-Man- Thanks for the advice. Beautiful weekend here!

Sara- Thanks, I'm hoping they come back soon.

Talon- Yeah, they don't stay gone too long.

    Alice- They'll be back!

Valerie- That was indeed an excellent story!

Nicky- I was scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Monkey Man- It pulled me out of the fire this time.

Linda- I suspect we'll all still be here come Monday.

    Me- Good philosophy!

  12. You know what is funny? You took writer's block and turned it in to a beautiful post!

  13. here are a few words for you:

I want some of that mulch!

  14. Sometimes my mind is so busy on "send," the "receive" signal gets blocked. Sound familiar?

  15. Katherine- Thank you, I'm glad it worked.

    guatami tripathy- Yay!

Cad- I'll give that a go next time.

Friko- Are you sure? That was a lot of work!

Jayne- My mind is on "go" until I sit down with pen and paper or keyboard, then poof!
