Quote of the Week

I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read and all the friends I want to see.
- John Burroughs

Too often the busyness of our lives overwhelms our senses, and we become bogged down in the daily grind. We need to adorn our lives with a little more of that which is precious to us, whether it is enjoying a good book, taking a long walk though the woods, or simply letting the sun shine upon our faces.

  1. Yesterday I dropped EVERYTHING to go in a bass boat with a co-worker...taking my daughter and simply enjoying nature and life. I felt guilty but it was so worth it!

  6. Linda,

So right you are! Lately, I've been enjoying sitting outside in the evening...just watching yard life. It's so nice.

This quote is a good reminder of the importance of enjoying what's precious to us, while we can:~)

    Great quote selection!

  7. Katherine- Such fun - don't feel guilty, just enjoy it!

Linda- There always seems to be more to do, see and think about than there is time. So we just have to make to.

Talon- As busy as our lives are, we should all take heed.

Jannie- Thank you. It's nice to visit with you, too.

    meleah rebeccah- You go girl!

Sara- We always did that as a family when I was growing up. Late in the evenings we would see what we called hoppy toads come out. Some were tiny. We don't see toads too often anymore.
