Quote of the Week

Rosie, Sophie and Dood - working hard.

Good for the body is the work of the body, good for the soul the work of the soul, and good for either the work of the other.  - Henry David Thoreau

Physical work strengthens the body; work from within strengthens the soul, and work, whether of the body or soul, benefits both body and soul.

  1. Linda,

I love that picture of the cats:~)
It makes sigh with contentment. For me, watching a cat sleep is a form of meditation!

Great quote, as usual. Thanks for the happy sigh you gave me today:~)

And I love that quote - keeping body and soul at work is super fine.

  4. Assuming Dood is the black and white one, I love Dood! I get the biggest kick out of his sleeping position.

    Happy Monday!

  5. Sara- I wish we could all sleep as easily as cats. Glad I could make you smile.

meleah rebeccah- You're most welcome. I'm happy you were inspired.

Talon- Thank you! I've heard of keeping body and soul together. I guess this means it takes work.

Margaret- You're right, that's Dood, and he does have some interesting sleeping positions. Sometimes he lays on his back and will have one or more feet pointing straight up. Rosie is sharing my lap with my netbook right now making typing this interesting.

  7. I agree with the quote. The cats look as if they'll get round to all that later.
