Night into day
Watching each one
Fade away
Wrong versus right
Love's evil twin
Where there is hate
Nobody wins
Day into night
Night into day
Watching each one
Fade away
Fire and ice
Cleanses all
Deny ye now
The devil's call

"Where there is hate / Nobody wins" Couldn't agree with you more. Nice song-like flow. Cheers
ReplyDeleteadam is spot on about the song like flow...a great opening verse..cheers pete
ReplyDeleteI love the rhythm, Linda. It perfectly juxtaposed the wisdom in the lines.
ReplyDeletedustus- Thank you. Glad you liked it.
ReplyDeletePete- Thank you for your nice comment.
Talon- Thank you. You never know what comes out in the midnight hour.
Very nice, Linda! I too love the rhythm here. As I've told so many friends, I'm especially fond of poems that rhyme.
ReplyDeleteWas this poem inspired by that picture of the sunset or did they come about separately and you were lucky to have paired them up?
Davina- Thank you! I like poems that rhyme, too. The poem came together late one night, and I came up with the picture later.
ReplyDeleteGreat little piece, Linda! I'd love to hear it set to music.
ReplyDeleteLovely poem. It expresses that transitional state of sundown so well. Wonderful photo, too.
