Can you have too much toilet paper? The answer...apparently not. This is a portion of the toilet paper we rounded up from my parents' house while cleaning it out for people to move in - the portion that was not in the attic.
It was just piled up so, just to be silly, I put it in this bookcase. It's not every day you see a bookcase full of papier de toilette. Now that would make a fine addition to anyone's "reading room" don't you think? How much am I bid?
In the end, this was left for my friends who moved in.
So tell me, what do you stock up on? And how much is too much?
I know I'm not a stocker of toilet paper as I am down to the last roll when I went to restock one of the bathrooms...so I think I should definitely make a bid on that toilet paper bookcase! lol!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...trying to think of what I overstock on...and I can't think of anything...unless it's books. I have a tendency to buy tons of books when I'm at the bookstore. I get to them all, but I end up buying more before I finish what I have - lol!
Linda,
ReplyDeleteI never used to be stocker of t-paper, but since JC and I have been together that's changed. He likes to shop at Costco and, as you probably know, nothing comes in small quantities there:~)
Things I naturally save is another story. Like Talon, books are one my favorite things and I have a hard time getting rid of them, even if I wasn't so fond of the book.
I've started used my public library more as I'm running out of room for any more new books:~)
Like Talon and Sara, I have a lot of books. I don't really have much time to read but there are so many books that I want to read that I keep collecting them. A more practical item that I stockpile are dental hygiene products. I have a ton of toothbrushes and toothpaste, probably more than I will ever use. I just like to have a selection.
ReplyDeleteYou can never have too much toilet paper unless you simply have no place to store it. You will always need toilet paper so if you find a great deal it's wise to stock up.
ReplyDeleteTalon- Perhaps you need a few packs in reserve. Your books, however, are probably more of an investment.
ReplyDeleteSara- No, very few things from Costco come in small quantities. We do shop there, but I can get a better buy on TP through sales and coupons, and never pay more than 20 cents per "regular" roll.
Anne- I usually keep a fair supply of toothpaste, too, and we all get toothbrushes from the dentist twice a year.
Jen- A woman after my own heart. We will always need TP, and I do shop the bargains. I come by this honestly, as alluded to in the post. You should see my shelf of laundry detergent.
Thank you all for visiting!
We never ever EVER have enough TP... of course we only buy a four pack at a time so duhhh right? Our plumbing is old so we can't use the bulk costco stuff... dang!
ReplyDelete"So, as they say, the nut doesn't fall far from the tree." Yes, you parents were good roll models. ;)
ReplyDeleteKatherine- Sorry about the plumbing situation. Maybe they don't make what you use in large packs, but Angel Soft, which is what I usually get, comes in every size imaginable.
ReplyDeleteHilary- Nice play on words there, and yes, they were great role and roll models. I learned a lot about bargain hunting from my Mom.
Thanks for dropping by y'all!
Oh, I just love the stocked bookcase. Sadly, we do not stock up on too much TP. In fact, we're very often at that scary "OMG, do we have to use tissues?" stage. I think we're afraid to buy too much at once at the store for fear of looking like we have certain "issues."
