A winter vacation, huh? Well, I don't really enjoy the cold unless there is snow, but I don't ski, so a mountain retreat doesn't hold much appeal. I would want to go some place warm with water, like a tropical island or perhaps the Florida Keys (y'all know I love Florida). However, those locales are exorbitantly high priced during the winter months. So when do we go on vacation? During the fringe months when the crowds are less, and the weather is more temperate than either freezing cold winter or blazing hot summer. Oh, and the prices are better, too.I should, however, mention that going to Chimney Rock in August...not such a good idea. Just because there are mountains doesn't mean it's cooler.

ReplyDeleteI'm kind of in the middle when it comes to the winter aspect... I can deal with the cold temps, but not with snow. Or I can handle the snow, with mild temps. It's when it's zero or around there and snow that gets me!
