It doesn't have to be huge or outstanding. It doesn't even have to cost money. It could be as simple as a hot cup of coffee on a cool morning, or your dog or cat greeting you at the door. There are so many things I could list, but here are what first came to mind–in no particular order.
- Going to the beach
- Potatoes (my favorite food)
- Hearing the birds sing
- Going for a walk on a beautiful day
- A glass of chilled Chardonnay
- Watching it snow
- Hanging out with friends
- Head butts from our cat
- A warm blanket
- Cool sheets
- Bonus: My husband, but that is a given after 30+ years together.
If you enjoyed this post, please leave a comment. I would love to hear your thoughts.
#2 - I love potatoes, I like them baked or mashed. #4 - oh yes, I should walk more. great list.
ReplyDeletehave a lovely day.
Potatoes (a.k.a. taters) are great. I can eat them any way, but my favorite is "tater hash". I did a whole post on potatoes back in October during my "Into The Kitchen" series - link in the sidebar.
DeleteCool sheets. Yes!
ReplyDeleteYou understand!!! :) Unless it's really cold.
DeleteHead butts are the greatest! Not to be confused, of course.. with buttheads.
ReplyDeleteOf course! Love the kitties! Nice to see you again, Hilary!
DeleteHi Linda. I had potatoes for dinner tonight! Leftover mashed potatoes, fried in butter until crispy brown. Yum!! Love your list, especially hearing the birds sing. Congrats on your long, happy marriage. You are blessed. The simple things that make us happy seem to have the most impact, I find.
ReplyDeleteI love potatoes any way I get them, but fried is always good! Thanks for the visit!
