The Next Ten Years

This is Day 14 of the 2017 edition of the 20 Days of Chill writing challenge hosted by P. J. at A ‘lil HooHaa. Today's prompt is The Next 10 YearsPlease visit the other participants for more adventures.

What will the next ten years bring? No one can really see the future? We can make predictions based on past and current events or statistics. We can make bucket lists, and daydream about marriage, kids, graduations, grandchildren, retirement or traveling abroad - things that the next decade could hold in store for us.

What do I think the next ten years will bring? For the world in general? I'd prefer not to hazard a guess.

For me personally? I would like to think I'll be living a healthy, happy life among friends. I would like to travel more and visit places I've never been. I don't really have a bucket list or specific goals, but more of a mental "I'd like to go there or do that before I'm too old to enjoy it" list.

If any of us are still doing this ten years from now, one of the prompts could be "the past ten years" and we could see how things turned out.

  1. I try not to think about the future, what was it that people always say? live for the moment? I hope to do that.

I hope you get to travel and gain new adventures.

    have a lovely day.

    1. You are young yet. I didn't think too much about that when I was young. Living for the moment isn't a bad thing either, although sometimes it pays to look ahead a bit.

    1. That would be nice. We do have a group of friend that have been together for over ten years and get together regularly. :)

  3. 10 years ago, if you would have said that some of my friends were people who I'd never met in real life, I probably would have laughed at you. I just met P.J. for the first time this summer. Yet, I would consider him a longstanding friend. The next ten years will be exciting, I hope. New horizons and challenges.

    1. Isn't that the truth! Just because people don't meet face to face doesn't make less of friends.
