I am the keeper of all things time, date and place related in our family.
"What time are we supposed to be there?" It's my job to remember who's house the party is at and what time we are supposed to show up.
"Do we have shows tonight?" This is a phrase often heard at our dinner table. I am also the human TV Guide, knowing what's on, when and what channel.

"Hey, tomorrow is Wednesday, you better put out the trash!
"Recycles too?"
"Nope, they're next week."
Ha, we've missed the recycle week in our house 2x in a row. Thinking of starting our own recycling site.
ReplyDeleteOMG, Linda, I think we're soul sisters! I am the human TV Guide in my house too! And the weird thing is, I'm the one who watches the least amount of TV!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever, clever way to stick to the theme. I, too am the person that knows the TV line up but then I am also the person that keeps tab on when the recycling goes out.
ReplyDeleteI'm expected to know what's on TV too. Also, who is phoning if the fixed phone rings - I can see through walls!
ReplyDeleteAh, taking out the paper and the trash? I didn't see that one coming. I expected fire. :)
ReplyDeleteHah! This was a very creative way to use the prompt. :) Luckily I don't have to remember everything in our house, we'd never get anything done. ;)
ReplyDeleteAwww crap. The trash. Gotta put it out. :)
ReplyDeleteIf my wife dies, I'm screwed. I don't know how to do anything. I don't even know where the remote is.
ReplyDeleteI like that you delegate, too, Linda. I'm the same in my house - keeper of all the various human/pet schedules :)
ReplyDeleteI can relate! I am also the human GPS.
ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for the reminder, Linda... it's trash night here, too!
ReplyDeleteHey Linda! I seem to be following Paula around tonight, and just like her, I now need to go take the trash out. And I was in bed! Gagh! Indigo
ReplyDeletenonamedufus- Our bin would be overflowing. We have pickup every other week so missing 2 would mean a over a month's worth of recycles. I could send the excess to your recycling site.
ReplyDeleteNicky- I probably watch more TV, since I'm home most of the day. When hubby isn't home in the evenings, the TV is on - like now.
Cheryl- I see I am not alone. The recycles are out tonight.
Anji- I love caller ID.
Bryan- Fire - I didn't think about that.
Ziva- We still don't get everything done.
P.J.- Gotta do what you gotta do.
MikeWJ- Can't find the remote. Must be hard without a face.
Talon- I guess women are the natural keepers.
laughingmom- We are a talented bunch, aren't we?
Paula- It's recycle week here.
Indigo- Sorry about that.
I NEVER remember those dates! You ROCK!
ReplyDeleteSome fools still burn their trash here. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThis was a fun, tidy way to tackle today's prompt. It's very "slice of life" with just the right level of whimsy.
ReplyDeleteSomeone needs to be the Keeper of things time, date and place:~)
ReplyDeleteNeither of us are particularly fond of that role, but activities get assigned, whether you want them to or not. Funny how that happens:~)
I think it's so funny when I watch a movie/series with someone, who just like me has never seen the movie/series before, who keeps thinking I know everything that is going to happen before it does. Even though I know just as much as they do. Lol!
ReplyDeleteSometimes it seems like certain people are just supposed to know the answer to every question. Hehe.
