Quote of the Week

You'll never make a good impression on other people until you stop thinking what sort of impression you make. - C. S. Lewis

Too much effort toward making a good impression can work against you. People may notice and wonder why you feel the need to try so hard. Stop worrying about how people perceive you. Being yourself and letting your own light shine through makes the best impression of all.

  2. You are right of course but I think we have become so brainwashed as to "how" we are supposed to look, thanks to the deluge of marketing we see...it's hard to remember our uniqueness.

"Stop worrying about how people perceive you."

Yup. I stopped worrying about that years ago. And I've never been happier.

  4. While I agree that too much effort can backfire, there are those who take "being themselves" too far :-)

  7. Hilary- If you are always yourself, you don't have to remember who you were trying to be.

Cheryl- While we should always be concious of how we look and act, it should reflect who we really are.

Meleah- Good for you. Me too, for the most part.

Nicky- I reckon you're right about that.

Sara- Glad you liked it. It is always important to be yourself. It's the only way you can know if people really like you, or like the real you.

    Babs- Yes it does.
