Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you. - Maori Proverb
As our shadows fall behind us, we can better see all the good that life has to offer, so turn your face to the sun and make the most of each day.

ah yes. forward motion is key!
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteThis is a good quote. I would do this if not for the very cloudy day we have. It started out nice and sunny, but now the dark clouds are creeping in.
Still, I get the meaning and thank you for this gentle reminder:~)
There's a song I love by Cage The Elephant called Shake Me Down. The lyrics include the line "Even on a cloudy day, I'll keep my eyes fixed on the sun."
ReplyDeleteHard to do, but I keep trying :-)
Meleah- yeah, no progress is made backing up.
ReplyDeleteSara- We've had our share of cloudy/rainy days lately. Sun's out today, so I'm facing forward!
Nicky- I've not heard of that song or group, but they do have the right idea.
Ahhh, I see the photo I took at my friends'house over on your sidebar the "Peace" one -- awesome!!
ReplyDeleteAnd as to turning your face to the sun, good idea. I turned mine to the rain today and that was a welcome change.
xoxo
