Don't cry over spilled milk. - Benjamin Franklin
This was also attributed earlier to 17th British historian, James Howell.

February 11, 2015 is "Don't cry over spilled milk day". Who knew? In celebration, let it serve as a reminder to not stress over things that have happened which we cannot change. The past is just that...the past. Let's not waste energy worrying about it, and look forward to a new day, and a new year, with a positive attitude.

Hi Linda .. I can see an easy post coming on the 11th Feb - a repeat?! Oh dear chocolate milk and it's spilt - that is very serious in fairy land ... and a great loss to any little one ...
ReplyDeleteWell done and welcome to 2015 - have a happy year ahead .. cheers Hilary
I had wondered if that little tidbit would be better kept until next month. Anyway, looking forward to the rest of the challenge. Have a great New Year, Hilary.
DeleteGood thoughts.. and presented with creative humour.
ReplyDeleteThanks Hilary! This time we are only posting on weekdays.
DeleteI wonder if the real fairies were cats:~) I liked how you ended this post with the words, "The past is just that...the past. Let's not waste energy worrying about it, and look forward to a new day, and a new year, with a positive attitude." That's a GOOD way to start the new year.
ReplyDeleteSara, glad to see you back after the holidays. I'm glad you enjoyed the post, and hopefully I can "practice what I preach".
DeleteI love the artwork you chose for this post! And it's true.. let's try not and stress. And who knew about that day. I might have to mark that one down!
ReplyDeleteThanks, P. J. I'm looking forward to getting back into the writing groove. Thanks for hosting the challenge.
DeleteMy wife says I drink too much milk and she'd like me to cut back. If I could, I'd drink milk at every meal, but only if it's not skim milk. That's just nasty.
ReplyDeleteSo I guess I'd cry over spilled milk unless it was skim. Then I'd probably cheer.
I was about to say I can't remember the last time I had chocolate milk... but I actually DO remember. It was when the kids were really young and we went to Bergey's Dairy... they milk the cows there, make the chocolate milk there... and it is like CREAM and chocolate. MMMMMMMMM!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm all for looking forward. Here's to Day 1 of the Challenge.
ReplyDeleteCheers *raises a glass of chocolate milk*
It's a good things fairies aren't lactose intolerant. I have no idea how they can stomach entire glasses of spilled milk when they're supposed to be so tiny.
