Dig the well before you are thirsty. - Chinese Proverb
This has many applications and means that you should be prepared to meet whatever life throws at you. Be proactive...don't wait for an emergency, they never happen at a good time.
I try to be prepared but I've found life has this very annoying habit of finding the very specific things I'm NOT prepared for and throwing that at me. I do keep trying, though. :-)
Talon- Mom always said it is better to have and not need than to need and not have. Prepared is best. We had a nice holiday weekend, and I've been slow to get back here.
Nicky- "I do keep trying..." That's the key. Bad things don't make appointments.
Meleah- Indeed!
Alexandra- Life really is unpredictable, so like Nicky, we just keep trying.
So very true - best to be prepared!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely holiday weekend, Linda!
