Quote of the Week
Another quote from an unknown author. This relates back to last week's quote. We may not be able to change our past, but we can make amends if need be, and move on. Too many times we find ourselves living in the past. We need to be in the here and now. That is the only way we can "dream our future".

I like the balance provided in this quote. There is a sense of vibrancy for life.
ReplyDeleteI like this quote, Linda. It is important to let the past go as gracefully as possible and we all could use the reminder to live in the present and always have some dreams to strive for. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI really like quote too; we all have to move on whilst learning from the past.
ReplyDeleteCJ xx
I like these a lot! I also like "Hope for the best but plan for the worst!"
ReplyDeleteI like the quote and the picture you used. I agree with your commentary about the quote...it is best to make amends and move on. The key words are "making amends."
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of people try to move on without answering the cry of their past. I think really important to understand where that cry comes from so you can let go:~)
One of the hardest things for me is to make amends and move on. Not the make amends, I can do that very well. It is moving on. I tend to hang on to my mistakes and not forgive myself... it holds me back!
ReplyDeletePaul C- Indeed, and we must be present to create our future.
ReplyDeleteTalon- Yes it is, but not always easy. The past has a way of lingering.
Crystal Jigsaw- It's important to learn from the past, and to carry that knowledge into the future.
Linda- I think a lot of us do that.
Sara- Not dealing with past events does make it hard to move on.
Katherine- I think sometimes it is hardest to forgive ourselves, but we must try. Our future awaits.
That is so true, Linda. I have had difficulty forgiving myself for mistakes in the past, but I know that I must forgive me. And gently. Still, it's hard.
ReplyDeleteSo, that being said... all I have it now to make a difference in life. I still mess up but I do try to be aware of when I'm in the wrong and when amends are needed to move forward. And to know that love is always reigning!
Thank you for this post.
xoxo
All I have IS now to make a difference, that should read. :)
ReplyDeleteAll I have IS now.
And now is good.
Tho, I am thinking of chocolate cake! What's up with that?? Craving chocolate is not exaclty "in the moment" is it?? :)
