Here we have the early spring ones, and tulip poplars that have similar shaped yellow & orange blooms later after the leaves are out. Quite pretty. Also, the one I called a thistle, has a flower that looks like our dandelion, but I thought the one in your pic had thorny leaves like a thistle. So, I looked it up. There is a plant with a yellow dandelion-like bloom with spiny leaves called a spiny-leaved soy thistle.
