A while back, I told hubby that I was doing another post on the interesting fungi I found in the back yard, and he said "Oh really, is that a bunch of fun guys having a party?"
So without further ado, here are the 'fun guys' I found hanging around my back yard.
I scanned hundreds of photos in an attempt to ID these fungal visitors. Alas, I was unable to determine what they are. So who's having a party in your yard this Fall?

The first picture looks like a turkey hiding but showing his back feathers...it's perfect timing for Thanksgiving. And if I was a turkey, I might be hiding, as well.
ReplyDeleteThese were pretty amazing if I do say so! Like the new "click" box, but you know me....I always have something to say:~)
Sara, I'm glad you always have something to say, and you're right about the turkey. I'd say he'd better hightail it out of there before T-Day.
DeleteI LOVE THESE!!! I see so much beauty in things like this! That first one is a crazy cool "fun guy!"
ReplyDeleteKatherine, I love seeing all the beauty in nature too, even the weird stuff.
DeleteI love the new look, Linda. :) And I thought I was the only one who shot photos of fungi. We had some that looked like daisies. Very strange and very cool. I have some old logs in the back and I love watching it evolve. So much beauty in the strange. :)
ReplyDeleteKim, thank you! Glad you like it. I went through a lot of different templates before I found one that worked for me. I do like finding the interesting in the strange. I learned that from all the great photographers online, including you. I have several more fungi posts, one even looked like a tomato.
DeleteHi Linda .. ;the grapes I'd like to eat! But having said that .. I'll keep the fungi for watching only ... they are amazing ... I love looking at the ones that grow wherever and wherever ... lovely shots .. and fun guys - yeah - way to have a party!! Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteHilary, glad you like the grapes, and the fungi, for different reasons, of course. I have seen more interesting fungi, mushrooms, etc. the past few years, and of course I have to post on them.
